Growing up I always had access to animals and was always bringing home every stray I found. I always wanted to work with animals but it was not until my children were grown and gone that I allowed myself to finely follow that dream. One day while I was trying to decide what I wanted to be when I “grew up” I came across the Animal Behavior College web sight. I researched several other training sights and was impressed with what ABC had to offer. I liked the fact that I would have mentors and help if and when I needed it. I loved the fact that after completing the course work that I would further be able to complete my education by working hands on with a trainer. I did not know how much I would learn from her, but feel the education I received was way beyond my expectations. When I looked into the course I saw that those who did the best in their class received honor status, this was a personal goal I set and met. After a year of course work, hands on training and volunteer hours at a local shelter I graduated and am now a Animal Behavior College Honor Graduate. I have had people apologize to me or say I just don’t know what to do when it comes to training a dog. I feel very grateful to have the knowledge to help them live together in harmony. I must admit I love my job!
